1. Who controls your data

This Privacy Policy applies to athletai.org, platform.athletai.org, and related services operated by AthletAI France SAS (the “Controller”).

2. Data we process and why

When you submit a form, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, country, organization, role, and message. We use it to respond to inquiries, assess applications or collaborations, manage relationships, and operate AthletAI. Depending on the context, the legal basis is taking steps at your request, performing a contract, or our legitimate interests in operating and developing the business.

We also process limited technical and security data needed to deliver the service, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. This processing is based on our legitimate interests and, where applicable, the necessity of providing the service you request.

3. Analytics and cookies

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 are activated only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Analytics helps us understand visits, page use, device and browser characteristics, and broad traffic sources so that we can improve the service. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and advertising user-data consent remain disabled. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, form contents, athlete records, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

In the EEA, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions requiring prior consent, the legal basis for analytics is your consent. You may refuse without losing access and may change your choice at any time through the Cookie Policy.

4. Service providers

We use service providers where necessary for hosting, security, form delivery, communications, and consented analytics. These may include Cloudflare for hosting, security, and Turnstile bot protection, and Google for Tag Manager and Analytics. Providers process data under their own terms and our applicable contractual arrangements.

Personal data is not sold. We do not use Google Analytics for targeted advertising. If our processing practices change, we will update this policy and the consent interface before activating additional non-essential purposes.

5. International transfers and retention

Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard. Form and relationship data is retained only as long as needed for the relevant purpose and legal obligations. Google Analytics retention should be configured in the Analytics property in accordance with the shortest period that meets AthletAI’s measurement needs.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact info@AthletAI.org. You may also complain to the competent supervisory authority; in France, this is the CNIL.

7. Policy changes

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, where required, a renewed consent request. Continued use of the website is not treated as consent to non-essential cookies.
